The student Council
…
Is a representative body of both Junior and Senior Level students in Scoil Mhuire.
It acts as a medium of communication between the students, staff and management of the school.
It aims to promote an active involvement by students in the running of the school.
The Student Council strives to make a positive contribution to every aspect of the school community.
It allows students to have their voice heard, understood and elicit a response from the School Authority.
Some of our proposed activities for next academic year
To be the voice of the student body.
To undertake charity and fundraising work
Improve the school environment for all students
To report on issues and council events at weekly meetings.
To participate in the drafting and development of school policies.
To maintain the high standard of quality in the school building and school facilities for students.

This Statement must be returned by Tuesday 23ʳᵈ May at 11 am to Ms. Deschenes in Room 9. Once the statements have been received a vote within each year group will be carried out to elect your new representatives to the Student Council.
